As a person qualified to carry out testing, you carry out tests on explosion-proof devices after they have been repaired. If you would like to work as a person qualified to take an examination, you need official recognition.

Submit an application with the following information about the applicant:

• Address of the business premises or the operating department in which the person recognized by the authority and qualified to carry out the audit is to work
• Details of the contact person for queries
• Test tasks and scope for which recognition is requested
• Proof of the need for testing and details of the devices to be tested, the protective systems, safety, control and control devices that are to be tested after repairs
• Declaration by the applicant about the freedom of instruction of the person qualified to carry out the examination
• If available, certification certificate for a quality assurance system or information on the quality assurance process

Information about the qualified person:

• First and Last Name
• Birthday and place
• Profession
• Applicant's home address
• Copy of the employment contract between the applicant and the person qualified to carry out the examination
• The applicant's CV stating the professional background and professional practice up to the time of application as well as copies of certificates from previous employment relationships
• Copies of the skilled worker certificate, the master's certificate and the master's certificate, the diploma certificate and the diploma certificate or comparable proof of qualifications
• Copies of certificates of participation in further training measures or relevant exchanges of experience
• Police clearance certificate, document type 0
• Declaration of the person authorized to carry out the examination regarding freedom of instruction

You will also need:

• Report from an expert
• Written confirmation from the insurer of existing liability insurance in the amount of 2.5 million euros for the activities of the recognized person qualified to carry out the audit in accordance with the declaration of exemption

• Completed technical vocational training or proof of another technical qualification of the person to be recognised, which qualifies him for the intended testing task
• Practical experience of the person to be recognized with comparable work equipment over a reasonable period of time so that the assigned inspection task is carried out reliably
• Activity of the person to be recognized in the context of the upcoming test, the work equipment to be tested and appropriate further training
• Expert opinion on the qualifications of the person to be recognized as well as on the equipment and quality assurance of the company
• Evidence of the regular need for such tests

The amount of the fees depends on the effort (this increases, for example, if additional documents are requested).

The competent authority will report immediately.

The recognition is valid for 5 years.

Note on the expert opinion:

Once the scope of the test has been determined by the recognition authority, you as the applicant commission an expert to provide an expert opinion. This statement refers to the technical and organizational requirements of the company and the review of the applicant's personal suitability and his skills and knowledge of the legal standards in question for the relevant testing work. If you, as the applicant, have been accredited as a testing laboratory or inspection body according to the standards of the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17000 series, the scope of the expert opinion and, if necessary, the test test will be tailored accordingly.
