- Name and address of the applicant
- The facilities and establishments serving the activity, including the premises and facilities and the personnel located there.
- The type of animals affected and, species-specific, the housing capacities.
- The name of the person responsible for the activity.
- The presence of persons who care for the animals and are responsible for their killing.
- The name of the animal welfare officer.
You will receive permission if
- the person responsible for the activity has the professional knowledge and skills required for the activity based on his or her training or previous professional or other contact with animals,
- the person responsible for the activity has the necessary reliability.
- in the establishments and businesses serving the activity, suitable premises, facilities and sufficiently qualified personnel are available to enable the animals to be kept in a manner that satisfies the requirements of the Animal Welfare Act and the Animal Welfare and Experimental Animal Ordinance.
- It is ensured that the persons who care for or kill the animals can at any time demonstrate the necessary expertise.
- it can be expected that the necessary organisational, recording and labelling requirements will be met.
- one or more animal welfare officers have been appointed for the company

The permit is subject to a fee. The fees are calculated according to the time spent on the basis of GebOöV 2.1.9.

The responsible authority will decide on the application within 4 months of receiving a complete application. In difficult cases, an extension of 2 months is possible. The permit is usually granted for an unlimited period.
