If you want to offer a course for the expert use of biocidal products, you must have the course recognised by the competent authority in advance.

If you want to offer a course for one or more uses of biocidal products that require expertise, you must first have the course recognised by the competent authority.

These are courses on how to carry out fumigation with plant protection products or biocidal products or for specific uses of biocidal products, such as:

• in the field of hygiene,
• as a pesticide or
• as a means of protection to prevent the formation of microbes and algae

In order to be admitted to the course, you must prove that the course meets the legal requirements and that you have qualified teaching staff.

  • Course Program
  • Course contents
  • Speakers and their qualifications
  • Timetable with details of the lecturers for the teaching unit
  • Proof of the qualifications of the speakers
  • Contents of the presentations as short contributions
  • Information about the teaching material
  • Draft of a course certificate
  • Exam documents and details of the exam procedure (e.g. an exam sheet with grading and marking of the correct answers)
  • Precise description of the expertise acquired through the course with reference to the underlying Technical Rule for Hazardous Substances (TRGS)
  • Required pre-qualification of the course participants

• The course concept fulfils the legal requirements for expertise according to the Hazardous Substances Ordinance
• Professionally qualified teaching staff

You must apply for recognition of an expert course for biocidal products by e-mail or post to the competent authority.

• You submit the necessary documents to the competent authority.
• The competent authority will check your documents and give you feedback.

• The notification of recognition is accompanied by information on how to lodge an appeal.
