Do you operate a facility where fuels are stored and transferred? Then you have to report them to the authorities.

As the operator of a facility for the storage or transfer of petrol, fuel mixtures or crude petrol in tank farms or at petrol stations, you must notify the competent authority before putting it into operation. The notification obligation only applies to installations that do not require a permit under the Federal Immission Control Act. The competent authority examines the notification and records the installation in its plant register.

Acknowledgment of receipt of a notification and attached documents:

The amount of the fees is determined – in accordance with Appendix 1 to § 1 paragraph 1 of the General Schedule of Fees of the State of Lower Saxony No. 44.1.15.1 – depending on the time spent. However, a minimum of 35.00 EUR will be charged.

Examination of an advertisement:

The amount of the fees is determined – in accordance with Appendix 1 to § 1 paragraph 1 of the General Schedule of Fees of the State of Lower Saxony No. 44.1.15.2 – depending on the time spent. However, a minimum of 900.00 EUR will be charged.

The notification must be submitted in writing by post or electronically to the competent authority.

The notification must be submitted to the competent authority before the installation is put into operation.

This administrative service does not constitute an administrative act. For this reason, there is no legal remedy.
