The long-term care insurance funds must inform insured persons and relatives or partners about the issue of the need for long-term care, in particular about the benefits provided by the long-term care insurance funds and the benefits and assistance provided by other institutions, in a way that they can understand.
Long-term care insurance funds must
- provide information and advice on a healthy lifestyle that prevents the need for long-term care.
- encourage participation in health-promoting measures.
- provide information on issues relating to the need for long-term care.
- to draw attention to the right to comprehensive care advice (§ 7a SGB XI).
- provide information about the nearest care support center.
to provide service and price comparison lists of outpatient and inpatient care facilities as well as offers for support in everyday life.
