If you receive social benefits, you may be exempt from the parental contribution for attendance at a kindergarten or day care center.

Cost contributions are set for the use of offers for the promotion of children in day care facilities. Upon application, the parental contribution for parents receiving social benefits for the attendance of the child/children in a kindergarten or day care is fully covered by the Youth Welfare Office.

Please contact your local youth welfare office to find out which documents are required for an application.

• You receive social benefits.

There are no fees to pay.

• Benefits of the economic youth welfare: Full assumption or reimbursement of parental fees in kindergartens or day care centers.
• Prerequisite:
  • Application
  • Economically unable to perform
  • Economic incapacity is always present in the following cases:
    • Benefits according to SGB II (citizen's allowance or benefits according to the education and participation package)
    • Benefits according to §§ 2, 3 of the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz)
    • Benefits according to the third and fourth chapters of SGB XII
    • Receipt of child benefit supplement according to § 6a of the Federal Child Benefit Act (Bundeskindergeldgesetz)
    • Receipt of housing allowance according to the Housing Allowance Act
