If you intend to remove a facility that requires a building permit or is exempt from a building permit, you must notify the lower building supervisory authority of the removal at least one month in advance.
You must notify the lower building supervisory authority at least 1 month in advance of the removal of installations that require building permission or are exempt from building permission. If the lower building supervisory authority does not take any building supervisory measures, you can start the removal work without further approval after the expiry of the one-month period.
If the facility to be removed is attached to facilities requiring building permits or facilities exempt from building permits, the stability of these facilities must be assessed by a qualified structural engineer and proven to the required extent. The removal work must be supervised by the qualified structural engineer as far as necessary.
The obligation to notify does not apply to
- Facilities that are entered in the list of monuments and thus may generally only be removed with an issued building permit for the removal of a facility,
- installations which are affected by a partial removal and, if applicable, may only be changed with an issued building permit for the change of an installation,
- Installations whose removal is exempt from procedures / permits, i.e. no building permit or building permit exemption is generally required for these installations.

You submit the notification in the online procedure or in text form using the published form. Attach the required documents.
Submit the notification to the responsible lower building supervisory authority. If documents are missing or if there are other ambiguities, you will be asked to remove these obstacles to assessment. In this case, submit the missing or adjusted documents and/or the clarification.
The lower building inspection authority will review your notification. If you have not received any feedback after one month, your notification has been accepted and you can start the removal work.
