The land register provides information about the ownership structure of a property. It also contains information on encumbrances such as land charges and mortgages.

The following processes, among others, must therefore be entered in the land register:

  • Change of owner
  • Reservations
  • Creation and cancellation of a mortgage
  • Creation and cancellation of land charges

The legal acquisition of ownership of a property also requires the entry of the new owner in the land register.

Erforderliche Unterlagen

  • Identity card or passport
  • Proof of registration documents: public or publicly notarised documents

Voraussetzungen

As a rule, registration requires

  • an application,
  • an authorisation for registration,
  • the prior registration of the person whose right is affected by the registration
  • and compliance with special formal requirements.

In special cases, such as the conveyance of a property, additional requirements apply.
