Supervisors require an official certificate of competence for the professional handling and use of explosive substances. This is issued on application by the competent authority.

Supervisors require an official certificate of competence for the professional handling and use of explosive substances. This is issued on application by the competent authority.
Supervisors may be, for example
- the managerial staff of an operating department
- persons authorised to carry out blasting operations
- Plant foremen and forewomen
- the technical supervisory personnel in explosive ordnance disposal
- the warehouse management
- Persons transporting explosive substances
Other responsibility
Supervisors who carry out such activities in establishments that are under mining supervision must apply for the certificate of competence using the form provided for this purpose at the Sächsisches Oberbergamt (Saxon Mining Office):Certificate of participation in a state or state-recognised course

- Submit a written application for a certificate of competence in explosives. An application form is available for this purpose (see –> Forms and other offers).
- Fill out the application and compile the required evidence.
- Submit the application documents to the competent authority.
Tip: You can apply informally for changes to the entries or an extension of the period of validity.
Period of validity: Five years (extension on request before expiry)
