If you are not in possession of a corresponding permit in accordance with the Explosives Act, you may only handle or deal with explosive substances requiring a permit as a responsible person if you are in possession of an official certificate of competence for handling and/or dealing with explosive substances in accordance with the Explosives Act.

Responsible persons or supervisors include, in particular, managers of an operating department, authorized blasters, foremen, technical supervisory personnel in explosive ordnance disposal and warehouse managers as well as persons who are authorized to move explosive substances, to transfer them to others or to receive them from others. to others or to receive these substances from others.

A certificate of competence for the handling and/or transportation of explosive substances is only issued to natural persons.

As an applicant, you will generally receive a certificate of competence for the handling and/or transportation of explosive substances in accordance with the Explosives Act if you are

  • reliable
  • competent and
  • are personally suitable and
  • have reached the age of 21.

You must have completed a state or state-recognized specialist training course. However, only persons who can present a clearance certificate may take part in such a course.

The certificate of competence for handling and/or dealing with explosive substances in accordance with the Explosives Act is only issued on application and generally for a period of five years. It can be restricted in terms of content, limited in time and, even retrospectively, subject to conditions.

  • Required proof of professional qualifications
  • For EU foreigners: Certificate of good repute in a certified translation from the competent judicial or administrative authority in your home country or country of origin (e.g. extract from the criminal record). The certificate should not be older than three months.

Voraussetzungen

As an applicant, you will receive a certificate of competence for handling and/or dealing with explosive substances in accordance with the Explosives Act if you are

  • a natural person,
  • reliable,
  • competent and
  • are personally suitable and
  • have reached the age of 21.

Kosten

Is based on the respective administrative fee schedule of the federal state or on the fee statutes of the authorities responsible under federal state law.

Verfahrensablauf

You can submit the application in writing or electronically.

Once you have submitted the application and all documents are complete, the competent authority will check whether all requirements for issuing the certificate of competence have been met.

If all documents are complete, you will receive the requested certificate of competence.

Bearbeitungsdauer

If the documents are complete, your application will be processed promptly.

Frist

The certificate of competence is generally issued for a period of five years.

For an extension of the certificate of competence, a refresher course must be taken if the applicant continues to be reliable.

The application must be submitted in good time, at the latest 8-10 weeks before the intended commencement of an activity covered by the SprengG.

The clearance certificate must not be older than one year.

Hinweise

The certificate of competence entitles the holder to work for a company with a permit under the Explosives Act.
