If you are interested in working in an academic or non-academic health profession abroad, you will need a Certificate of good standing.
If you would like to work abroad in an academic or non-academic health profession, you will usually need proof of your acquired qualification (proof of formal qualifications).
This confirms that you are entitled to exercise your profession without restriction. It also shows that no professional or disciplinary action has been taken or initiated against you (clearance certificate).
You will receive a Certificate of Good Standing from the local competent authority of the federal state in which you practice or have last exercised your profession.
- Certificate of completed training (e.g. certificate of medical examination) ( only if the training was completed in another federal state and/or the license or permission to use the professional title was issued in another federal state)
- Certificate of approbation or certificate of permission to use a professional title (only if the training was completed in another federal state and/or the license to use the professional title was issued in another federal state)
- Continuing education title (e.g. specialist), if this is to be included in the certificate
- Doctoral certificate (if available)
- Proof of activity and certificate of good repute (certificate from the competent chamber of professions about the data kept there)
- Name change certificate (if applicable)
- Important: If copies are submitted, they must be officially certified. In the case of copies without official certification, the originals must be presented at the same time. Foreign language documents require an official German translation by an interpreter sworn in Germany
- Your last professional activity must have been carried out in the respective federal state of application
