§§ 26, 27 of the Driving Licence Ordinance (FeV)
If you hold a Bundeswehr, Federal Police or police service driving licence, you can have it converted into a general driving licence.
- official proof of place and date of birth (e.g. identity card, passport)
- If applicable, current registration certificate
- Service driving licence or certificate issued by the department attesting to the service licence category(s) issued
- current photograph (size 45x35mm, portrait format, frontal shot). Information and examples can be found in the photo sample board (Bundesdruckerei)
The fees are based on the scale of charges for road transport measures (GebOSt).
