You have already received a permit to work with pathogens and have indicated that you have started the activity for the first time. You must notify the competent authority immediately if you
- make significant changes (type and scope of the activity, nature of the premises and facilities, disposal measures),
- stop the activity with pathogens, or
- resume activity with pathogens.
Even if you are exempt from the permit requirement, you must notify any changes in your activity.
Persons who carry out microbiological examinations for diagnostics of their own patients are exempt from the authorisation requirement. These are, for example, doctors, dentists and veterinarians.
Are you working under the supervision of a person who has a permit or is exempt from the permit requirement? In this case, you do not need to report the change in activity.
Significant changes must be documented by documents to be submitted:
- Documents on the changes in the nature and scope of the intended activities as well as disposal measures
- Documents on changes in the nature of the rooms and facilities
- if necessary: Information on the exemption from authorisation
- Permission or exemption or exemption according to the Infection Protection Act
- There is no risk to the health of the population. To achieve this, it is necessary to
- rooms or facilities suitable for the nature and scope of the activities are available, and
- the conditions for safe disposal must be met.
- You submit the notification without undue delay
- The authority will check your documents and, if necessary, carry out an on-site inspection. It decides,
- whether you are allowed to continue or resume the intended activity with pathogens, or
- whether it prohibits you from doing so.
All activities involving pathogens, including those that do not require a permit, must be notified.
