For frequent travelers, a passport of 48 pages can be issued.

• valid ID (passport, identity card, children's ID, children's passport)
• Current biometrics-compatible photograph, in passport format (45 x 35 mm) in portrait format, frontal shot without border, without headgear and without covering the eyes
• previous passport, if applicable
• Birth certificate, if applicable

When issuing for the first time or when moving to a municipality, further documents such as civil status certificates or certificates of nationality may be required. Please contact the responsible office in advance.

• You are a German citizen
• There must be no grounds for refusal

€22 in addition to the fee of €37.50 or €60.00.

You must apply for the passport in person. The application is completed on site with the processor. All you have to do is sign. When applying, fingerprints will be taken from you (flat impression of the left and right index finger).

The passport is produced by Bundesdruckerei and sent to the responsible office. You can then pick up the passport.
