If you are interested in working in an academic or non-academic healthcare profession abroad, you will need a certificate of good standing(declaration of good standing).
If you would like to work abroad in an academic or non-academic healthcare profession, you will generally need proof of your qualifications (training certificate).
This confirms that you are authorized to practice your profession without restriction. It also shows that no professional or disciplinary measures have been taken or initiated against you (clearance certificate).
You can obtain a certificate of good standing from the competent authority in the federal state in which you practise or last practised your profession.
- Certificate of completed training (e.g. certificate of the medical examination) (only if the training was completed in another federal state and/or the license to practice medicine or permission to use the professional title was issued in another federal state)
- Certificate of license to practice medicine or certificate of permission to use a professional title (only if the training was completed in another federal state and/or the license to practice medicine or permission to use the professional title was issued in another federal state)
- Further training title (e.g. specialist doctor), if this is to be included in the certificate
- Doctoral certificate (if available)
- Proof of activity and certificate of good repute (certificate from the competent professional chamber regarding the data held there)
- Certificate of change of name (if applicable)
- Important: If copies are submitted, they must be officially certified. If copies are not officially certified, the originals must be submitted at the same time. Foreign language documents require an official German translation by a sworn interpreter in Germany
