Fahrerlaubnis Erteilung erstmalig für begleitetes Fahren ab 17 Jahre für die Klasse B

If you take part in "accompanied driving from 17", you can drive a category B and BE vehicle in Germany before your 18th birthday under certain conditions. In this case, you must always be accompanied by a previously appointed and suitable person.

In Germany, you can drive a vehicle in categories B and BE (passenger cars) at the age of 17 if

• you have passed the driving test and
• you are accompanied by an authorized and previously named person.

On the date of your 18th birthday, you may drive the vehicle unaccompanied.

However, if you drive a vehicle before your 18th birthday without being accompanied by a named person, your driving license will be revoked. In addition

• a fine,
• a point on the driving aptitude register,
• the extension of the probationary period and
• an order for an advanced training seminar.

• valid identity card or passport (identity document can also be an electronic residence permit (eAT) or similar)
• current registration certificate, if applicable
• Current biometric photo (size 45x35 mm, portrait format, frontal shot)
• Proof of first aid training
• Eye test certificate (not older than 2 years)
• Application form for participation in accompanied driving from the age of 17
• Application form for each accompanying person

To participate in "Accompanied driving from 17", you and the person accompanying you must each meet certain requirements:

• You have successfully completed a category B driver's license course.
  • You can start training at the age of 16 ½.
  • After successfully completing the theoretical and practical test, you will receive a test certificate. You must carry this with you every time you drive, as it serves as your driving license together with your ID card.
• You will be accompanied on every journey by an authorized and previously appointed person, who will in turn
  • must have reached the age of 30,
  • have been in possession of a valid class B driving license (car) for at least 5 years,
  • observes the "0.5 per mille limit" and the ban on drugs when accompanying the driver, even if you are driving the car,
  • and who does not have more than one point on the driving aptitude register.

• The fee is based on the scale of fees for road traffic measures (GebOSt).
• If the driver's license is sent directly to your home address, an additional shipping fee will be charged.

• Driving license issued for the first time for accompanied driving from the age of 17 for category B
• by participating in "accompanied driving from 17", the minimum age for obtaining a category B and BE driving license is reduced to 17 years
• if a person takes part in "accompanied driving from 17" and passes the driving test, they will first receive a test certificate
• with the test certificate, the person may drive a vehicle of categories B and BE in Germany before their 18th birthday accompanied by a named and authorized person
