If you would like to work as a certified specialist for employment and career promotion, you must apply for recognition from the competent authority.
Specialists in work and career promotion support and encourage disabled people in their professional and private lives. The aim is to make it easier for them to regain, maintain and develop their performance and earning capacity.
If you would like to obtain the further training qualification to become a certified specialist for work and career promotion, you can take an examination. You must apply for this at the relevant office.
The qualification will expand your professional skills. As an employment and career support specialist, you have the following tasks
- assess and promote the individual aptitudes, skills and support options of people with disabilities
- Advise family members
- Monitor work and social behavior
- Carry out personal development measures
- help with the search for employment opportunities
- assist with integration
Successful completion of the examination at the competent authority leads to the recognized advanced training qualification "Certified Specialist for Employment and Vocational Promotion".

- Proof of educational and professional experience
You have the following professional qualifications:
- a successfully completed final examination in a recognized training occupation and at least 2 years of professional experience
or
- a successfully passed final examination in a medical profession regulated on the basis of a professional licensing law
or
- a successfully completed final examination in a 3-year profession in the health and social services sector regulated by state law and at least 2 years of subsequent relevant professional experience
or
- Proof of successfully completed relevant university studies and at least 2 years of subsequent relevant professional experience
or
- Proof of at least 6 years of professional experience (6 months of the professional experience to be proven must be significantly related to the tasks of a specialist in employment and career promotion)
or
- the proposal for the topic of the practical project, including a project outline, approved by the workshop for people with disabilities and other providers in the field of participation in working life as well as other suitable institutions and a qualified training provider
Anyone who can demonstrate skills, knowledge and abilities that are comparable to the professional ability to act and justify admission to the examination by means of certificates or in another way must also be admitted to the examination.
