If you are a doctor and would like to apply for authorization to examine persons exposed to radiation, you can obtain this authorization from the competent authority under certain conditions.

As an authorized physician, you have the task of carrying out medical examinations in accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance as well as special medical supervision. You keep a health record for each person who is subject to your medical supervision.

Erforderliche Unterlagen

  • Application for authorization
  • Depending on further medical training, proof of
    • the expertise,
    • a basic course in radiation protection
    • and the special course in accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance (Part 1 and/or Part 2).

Voraussetzungen

You can prove that you

  • have training or relevant practical experience,
  • have a certificate of competence,
  • have completed a basic course in radiation protection
  • and have completed the special course in accordance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance (Part 1 and/or Part 2).

Verfahrensablauf

You submit the application with the required documents, unless these documents are already available to the competent authority. The authority will review the application and decide whether to grant the authorization. If the application is approved, the authorization will be sent and the administrative fees will be charged.

Authorization under the Radiation Protection Ordinance is limited to five years.
