Since 15.11.2023, you do not need an appointment for this request at the BürgerServiceCenter Mitte. You can do this without an appointment at the BürgerServiceCenter Mitte during the opening hours of the express counter (Mon and Thu 07.30 to 17.00, Tue and Fri 07.30-12.00 and Wed 07.30-13.00).

Important: You will still need an appointment at the BürgerServiceCenter Stresemannstraße and the BürgerServiceCenter Nord.

If you have an eID card and your address changes, you must also have your address changed on your eID card.

If you have a main place of residence, you must go to the responsible location for residents' affairs at your main place of residence to change the address on your eID card.

If you are not required to register, the eID card authority in whose district you live at the time of the address change is responsible for you.

Your address will only be changed on the chip of your eID card, as no address is printed on the card itself.

Have you moved and would like to change your address on your eID card? You can do this at one of the BürgerServiceCenters.

• You must make an appointment at the BürgerServiceCenter-Stresemannstraße or the BürgerServiceCenter-Nord:
  • either by telephone via the number 115
  • or online via www.service.bremen.de
• At the BürgerServiceCenter-Mitte, you can deal with this matter without an appointment at the express counter. The opening hours of the express counter are
  • Mon and Thu 07.30 to 17.00
  • Tue and Fri 07.30 to 12.00
  • Wed 07.30 to 13.00
• You present your current official registration confirmation and your valid eID card.
• Your address will then be changed on your eID card.
