For a clear assignment of your waste generation facilities, you must indicate the facility numbers issued by the competent authority.

In order to enable a clear assignment of your individual waste generation facilities in waste management procedures, you can use corresponding official facility numbers. For this purpose, you use the establishment numbers issued by the competent authority.

You enter these official plant numbers in the forms of the waste verification procedure, such as waste disposal certificates, consignment bills, and acceptance bills. However, the establishment numbers also clearly assign the establishments in other forms under waste law, such as the certificate of waste management operation.

You can obtain the plant numbers from the relevant competent authority. Responsibility varies from state to state and may be differentiated for producers and disposers and according to the type of facility.

• You can apply for the waste producer number at most competent authorities via the online service. Some authorities provide for other ways of application.
• The competent authority first checks whether the information is complete and plausible and whether the required documents have been enclosed. If necessary, it will request additional information and documents.
• If the information and documents are complete and plausible, the authority assigns a company number and informs you of it.
