Pupils with special educational needs (mental impairment, wheelchair, hearing and vision in the support center) are entitled to collective transportation.
The collective transport can be used by parents or guardians whose children have one of the following special educational needs:
- Physical-motor development
- Mental impairment
- Social-emotional development in the case of schooling in the support center
- Hearing for children attending a special education center
- Sight in the case of education in a support center
The students are picked up from their homes in the morning by minibuses and brought back home at the end of the school day.
Special educational needs in mental impairment, physical-motor development, and vision and hearing and social-emotional development with schooling in special support centers.
The legal guardians contact the school if they would like to use bus transportation for their child or they are also approached by the school in advance as to whether they would like to use collective transportation.
If the collective transportation is to be used, the school contacts the Department 40 of the Senator for Children and Education. This contacts the respective transport service in order to organize the bus transport. The transport service provides feedback as to whether and when the child can be integrated into the collective transport. This depends on the home address and the current occupancy of the vehicle. In case of a positive result, the transport service gives a quick feedback to the unit 40 and contacts the parents to inform them when their child will be picked up from home in the morning in the future and when he/she will be back home.
