Are you a pensioner or retiree? Then you can submit your tax return in the simplified procedure via the einfachELSTER portal.

Your domestic pension income or pensions and data on health and long-term care insurance are already available to the tax office. Therefore, you do not have to enter this information in your tax return with einfachELSTER-Portal.

You only have to answer a few questions, for example, about donations, medical bills, disability, household-related services and craftsmen's costs.

You can use the einfachELSTER portal if you receive domestic pensions or annuities.

In addition, you may only have the following income:

• Investment income from which final withholding tax has already been paid to the tax office or for which the saver's allowance has been claimed (exemption order),
• Income from mini-jobs

If you are married or in a registered civil partnership and wish to file a joint declaration, these requirements must apply to you and the other person.

After a short check whether the einfachELSTER portal is suitable for your income tax return, you can apply for your access number. You will receive this in a few days by mail.

Once you have received your access number, you can use it to start the einfachELSTER portal and easily complete and submit your income tax return online.

You can submit tax returns in paper form at the central information and acceptance offices of the Bremen tax offices.
