Antrag auf Erlaubnis und Herstellung einer Überfahrt / Bremerhaven

Do you need a permit from the road authority to use a road surface, such as footpaths, cycle paths or green spaces with a vehicle on a crossing? You can apply for this permission at the Office of Road and Bridge Construction.

In accordance with § 17 of the Bremen State Roads Act (BremLStrG), road surfaces that are not intended to accommodate general motor vehicle traffic, such as footpaths and cycle paths or green spaces, may only be used by vehicles as crossings with the permission of the road authorities.

The owner, heritable building right holder or usufructuary of a property bordering on the road is entitled to apply. If the property does not border the street and is connected to it exclusively by a drivable access secured under public law via an adjoining property, the owner, heritable building right holder or usufructuary of the rear property is also entitled to apply. The crossing will be constructed and maintained by the road construction authority. The applicant has the option of designating an approved road construction company to perform the work in compliance with the requirements issued by the Road and Bridge Department. It is requested that the form Application for Permit and Construction of a Crossing be used and submitted along with a site plan approximately 2 months prior to the intended use.
