Gesundheitsbescheinigung beantragen - für Personen (Lebensmittel) / Bremerhaven

If your work involves contact with open food (for example, making or working with food), you will need a certificate from the health department before you begin working in the food area for the first time.

Any person who commercially produces, handles, sells or otherwise markets foodstuffs or comes into contact with foodstuffs requires a certificate from the public health department in accordance with Section 43 of the Infection Protection Act.

In the case of trainees, a decision is made on a case-by-case basis (by the health office).

  A decision by the job centre or an application for reimbursement from an authority is not sufficient in this case. The certificate of cost absorption must be addressed to the health office and must include the billing address and signature.

Persons with insufficient knowledge of German (reading and speaking) need a person to assist with translation.

After prior registration by e-mail to belehrung.gesundheitsamt@magistrat.bremerhaven.de or by telephone on 0471 590-2351, the instruction will take place at the health office. This will be handed out after the instruction.

The certificate replaces the former health certificates (§§ 17, 18 Federal Epidemics Act). The old certificates (from 1980) remain valid.

Instruction sessions take place on Tuesday and Thursday at 08:00.
