Anyone moving within Bremerhaven must re-register with the registration office within two weeks of moving in.

The re-registration must be done within two weeks after moving into the (new) apartment at the citizens' offices. An adult family member can re-register the entire family.

The re-registration via the Internet is not possible

As of 01.01.2017, a secondary residence tax must be paid for a secondary residence in Bremerhaven.

• From the age of 16, the signature of a parent or guardian is not required.
• Vehicle documents must also be changed
• Driving licenses are not changed.
