The exemption for residents is issued if the residence is within the respective resident parking area and the vehicle is registered in Bremerhaven.
If, for example, the student (X) lives in the city center and the vehicle used is registered to another owner (Y) with an out-of-town license plate, we require a declaration from the owner that the student has sole power of disposal over the vehicle in Bremerhaven and is the sole user. Such a declaration is also required for each renewal of a special permit.
Visitor parking permits are issued for a maximum of one month.
An application can be made (in each case with the appropriate supporting documents; see: "What documents do I need?")):
- by e-mail ( parkausweise@magistrat.bremerhaven.de )
- by mail or
- in person.
If not presented in person, exemptions will be sent with the appropriate fee invoice.
Parking facilitations are also available for other groups of people or if there is a reason for a parking facilitation, e.g.:
- for craftsmen
- due to emergency service work
