Certain requirements are placed on the keeping, care and maintenance of animals. The citizen complaint reports the situation to the authorities. The authority investigates the matter.

In order to be able to react quickly, the exact address/location of the animal facility is essential.
In order to be able to contact the complainant at short notice, the contact details of the complainant should be provided.

Deficiencies can be reported to the LMTVet using the "Animal welfare complaint" form or by telephone - outside normal working hours in the event of imminent danger to the police.
Once the complaint has been received, the facts of the case will be investigated and measures will be initiated by the authorities if animal welfare regulations have been breached.
