When travelling abroad privately with pets, many countries require officially certified vaccinations and examinations of the animals. Examinations of the animals and corresponding certificates are available from LMTVet.

In the context of the control of notifiable animal diseases, the Law on epizootic diseases and the resulting ordinances prescribe certain control strategies. The LMTVet is responsible for ordering and monitoring these necessary measures.
If your veterinarian or you yourself suspect that your animal has a notifiable animal disease, the LMTVet is the authority to be notified.

• Vaccination certificate (veterinary)

  The vaccination certificate for a vaccination carried out on an animal is issued by the treating veterinarian. The Food Inspection, Animal Welfare and Veterinary Service certifies this vaccination on request for travel abroad.
