The State of Hamburg finances the so-called cross-sectional tasks to be carried out by the recognized care associations in accordance with Section 15 Paragraph 1 BtOG.
Pursuant to Section 3 HmbAGBtOG, the State of Hamburg finances the cross-sectional tasks that the care associations recognized in the FHH are required to perform in accordance with Section 15 Paragraph 1 BtOG.
The subject of statutory funding are the tasks to be performed by recognized care associations in accordance with Section 15 Paragraph 1 BtOG. Care associations recognized in Hamburg are entitled to apply.
The statutory funding consists of a lump sum of €45,000 per year for full-time equivalents employed in cross-sectional work, as well as a performance-related entitlement to financial support. A total of a maximum amount of €85,000 can be claimed annually.
The subject of statutory funding are the tasks to be performed by recognized care associations in accordance with Section 15 Paragraph 1 BtOG. Care associations recognized in Hamburg are entitled to apply.

The application must contain the following information:
- Confirmation that the requirements according to Section 14 Para. 1 BtOG in conjunction with Section 1 Para. 1 No. 1-5 HmbAGBtOG continue to be met.
- The declaration that the care association will fulfil the obligations of Section 2 HmbAGBtOG in the corresponding financing period.
- The description of how the cross-sectional work is carried out in accordance with Section 15 BtOG.
- The amount of funding requested.
- An overview of the cross-sectional work carried out.
Care associations must meet the following requirements to receive funding:
- The applying association must be recognized.
- The headquarters and area of activity of the care association are in Hamburg.
- The scope of the association is determined by the BJV in a decree.
- The applicant must ensure that the tasks pursuant to Section 15 of the BtOG are carried out in a professionally qualified manner by providing at least one full-time or part-time manager as well as other full-time or part-time suitable specialists.
- Applications should be sent to BJV / Z 14, using the application form if possible. If they are for the flat-rate minimum funding, applications can be submitted within a period of 18 months from July 1 of the previous year. If they are for performance-related funding, applications for the cross-sectional work carried out can be submitted every six months on June 30 and December 31.
- After the application documents have been reviewed, the financial support will be approved and paid out.

An objection against the decision determining the financial resources may be lodged with the BJV within one month of its announcement.
