One-off grants or subsidies for the purchase of certain items or participation in certain measures for the foster child may be granted, provided they are not already covered by the current lump sums.

The regular financial needs for the maintenance and care of a foster child are covered by ongoing benefits.

In order to promote the physical and mental development of the foster child and to enable him or her to participate in society, special measures and expenses may be necessary. These can be financed through one-off grants or subsidies.

These benefits include, among others, grants or subsidies for:

• School trips
• Holiday and vacation measures

• Apply for grants or subsidies for additional necessary expenses for foster child/children
• Ongoing benefits cover the regular needs of foster children
• Special measures and expenses for the development and participation of foster children can be financed through one-off grants or subsidies
• Examples of such services include school trips, vacation and holiday activities
• Responsible authority: Responsible youth welfare office or responsible foster care service
