If you wish to hold a cattle show, cattle market, cattle shows, cattle competitions and similar event involving cattle, you must notify the competent authority in advance.

Special obligations apply to events involving livestock.
Livestock includes all livestock kept in agriculture, such as cattle, pigs, horses, sheep, goats.
As the organizer of a livestock exhibition, a livestock market, a livestock show, a livestock competition or an event of a similar nature, you must notify us that it has been carried out.
In the ad you must specify the type of event.
The competent authority can restrict or ban the events if this is necessary for reasons of animal disease control. The competent authority will inform you about the restrictions or bans.

Informal written or electronic notification

The notification can be made informally in written or electronic form or via the online service.

If you want to place the ad informally:

• Describe your request and provide all necessary information:
  • kind of event
• Send the notification to the competent authority by e-mail or by post.
• Your notification will be received and processed by the competent authority.
• The competent authority will contact you if you have any questions or need to make improvements to the notification.
• A separate permit is not required. If the authority does not contact you, you can hold the event.
• You will be notified in the event of a restriction or ban.

If you want to place the advertisement via the online service:

• You fill out the notification form
• For quick processing by the authorities, upload all the necessary evidence.
• Your notification will be accepted by the competent authority.
• The remaining steps correspond to the written procedure
