If you handle explosive substances or want to operate traffic in a commercial area and you already have a permit for these offenses under the Weapons Act, you do not need a permit under the Explosives Act.
If you want to handle or deal with explosive substances in a commercial area and already have a permit under the Weapons Act for the same offenses, you do not need a permit under the Explosives Act.
You do not need any documents as the exemption occurs by law if the requirements are met.
In order to receive an exemption from the commercial handling and movement of explosive substances, you must meet the following requirements:
- 1st option:
You have a weapons license in accordance with Section 21 of the Weapons Act, with which the same handling and traffic is permitted as in Section 7 of the Explosives Act (SprengG). - 2nd option:
You have neither a residence nor a permanent place of residence nor a branch in Germany and would like to import, export, carry out or transport explosive substances into Germany. The transport is accompanied by a certificate holder in accordance with Section 20 SprengG or by a person who has been commissioned in writing by the federal government or a state to accompany the transport.
You don't have to submit an application. The exemption from the permit requirement comes into force by law. If the requirements are met, you do not need permission.
You are exempt from the permit requirement if you have neither a place of residence, permanent residence nor a branch in Germany and would like to import, export, carry through or transport explosive substances into Germany. The prerequisite is that the transport is accompanied by a certificate holder or by a person who has been commissioned in writing by the federal government or a federal state to accompany the transport. An application for exemption from the permit requirement is not necessary. Liberation comes by law.
