If you want to work as a midwife or maternity nurse in Germany, you need permission to use the professional title. You can apply for this here.

- You have successfully completed the state examination.
- Or you have an equivalent educational qualification abroad.
- You are physically and personally suitable.

The professional certificate can be applied for at any time after the exam has been completed.
