If you, as the operator of a landfill, are obliged to submit an emissions declaration, you can be exempted from the obligation to submit an emissions declaration under certain conditions.

If you operate a landfill, you are obliged to submit an emissions declaration on a regular basis. If your landfill emits only a small amount of emissions, you can be exempted from the obligation to submit an emissions declaration. You can apply to the competent authority for exemption from submitting an emissions declaration for landfills.

You will be exempted from the emission tax obligation if your landfill only emits a small amount of emissions.

Fees apply. The responsible authority calculates the amount of the fees based on the time spent and on the basis of the environmental fee regulations.

You submit a written application for an exemption from the submission of an emissions declaration to the competent authority.
The authority will examine your application.
The authority may request additional documents or information from you.
The authority decides on your application.
You will receive a notification from the authorities.
