If you practice fishing in Hamburg, you must have a fishing license and pay the Hamburg fishing tax. This regulation also applies to all anglers from other federal states.

In Hamburg, fishing taxes from other federal states are no longer valid with the new fishing and angling law since June 4th, 2019. The Hamburg tax must be paid by all anglers. Only residents of Hamburg may pay the fee to the Hamburg Service. You can also pay the fishing fee at private issuing offices.
The annual fee can be paid by an authorized person.

The fee can be paid for a maximum of three years in advance.
