If you live in a resident parking zone in Hamburg, you can apply for a resident parking permit for your car or motorcycle or a motor vehicle that you use permanently.

The resident parking permit is only valid for a specific designated zone
(Residents parking zone).
A resident parking zone is a clearly defined area for which residents can apply for a resident parking permit for their vehicle. This permit exempts you from the maximum parking time and the parking fee in the area.
If you use third-party vehicles, rental vehicles or company vehicles, you also have the option of applying for a resident parking permit. Rental vehicles and changing company vehicles must be clearly identifiable as such (name of the respective company).

The fees for the initial application and renewal of a resident parking permit are EUR 65 online and EUR 70 at the LBV on site per year. The fee for changing the resident parking permit (in the event of a license plate change or moving to another resident parking zone) is EUR 10. In the event of loss or damage, a replacement document will be issued free of charge. The fees result from the Hamburg parking fee regulations.

You can apply for your resident parking permit online and print it out directly at home.
When applying online, payment can only be made by credit card or Giropay.
Please make sure that you enter your personal data correctly. You can use the spelling on your ID card as a guide. Otherwise, technical difficulties may arise.

- The resident parking permit does not secure a specific parking space, but only allows permanent parking in a parking space in the resident parking zone in which you are registered.
- A resident parking permit can only be issued for a specific vehicle (license plate number is entered in the resident parking permit).
- Your resident parking permit must be displayed visibly in your vehicle! A resident parking permit is also required for motorcycles. Resident parking permits cannot be applied for for trailers as they are not motor vehicles.
An extension is possible six weeks before the end of the validity period. If the resident parking permit has already expired, an extension is no longer possible. In this case, please apply for a new resident parking permit.

- Follow the steps to reserve an appointment.
- You will receive an email. Confirm your reserved appointment using the link in the email.
- You will receive an appointment confirmation. Bring this with you to your appointment.
