Section 30 of the Road Traffic Act (StVO) states that a truck over 7.5 tonnes or with a trailer is not allowed to drive on the entire route network in Germany on Sundays and public holidays between 00:00 and 22:00. However, exceptions can be made.
The documents required depend on the individual case. In order to find out which documents are required, a consultation with the transport and approval management of the Landesbetrieb Verkehr (LBV) is necessary.
The fee also depends on the individual case, but in principle it amounts to 37.50
EUR for one day and EUR 285.00 for permanent exemptions.
