In addition to the school bag and sports equipment, personal school supplies also include writing, arithmetic and drawing materials such as fountain pens, crayons, compasses, set squares and erasers.

Expenditures for consumables that have to be bought regularly, such as exercise books, pencils and ink, are to be covered from the citizens' allowance or social allowance.

• Children under the age of 25 (or their parents) who receive benefits under SGB II (citizen's allowance / social benefit).
• Attendance at a general or vocational school, including pre-school
• no receipt of a training allowance

An additional application is not required for children from seven to 15 years of age . In these cases, the money will be transferred automatically.

For children under the age of seven and over 15, an application with a school certificate must be submitted (see link Application for school supplies - education package). The receipts for the purchase of school materials are to be kept and presented on request.
