Recipients of benefits under the Social Code XII (social assistance, basic security) can receive this benefit as part of the education package. School children are paid a subsidy totaling 174 euros per year for learning materials, 116 euros at the beginning of the school year (usually August 1st) and 58 euros at the beginning of the second half of the school year (usually February 1st).
In addition to school bags and sports equipment, personal school supplies also include writing, calculation and drawing materials, such as fountain pens, crayons, compasses, set squares and erasers.
Expenses for consumables that have to be purchased regularly, such as notebooks, pencils and ink, must be covered from the basic security.
For children under the age of seven and over 15: application (see link application for school supplies - education package) and school certificate (issued by the school).

The benefits for school needs are applied for at the responsible specialist office for basic security and social affairs or at the social service center of the district office.
An additional application is not required for children from seven to 15 years of age . In these cases, the money will be transferred automatically.
