In addition to school bags and sports equipment, personal school supplies also include writing, calculation and drawing materials, such as fountain pens, crayons, compasses, set squares and erasers.

Expenses for consumables that have to be purchased regularly, such as notebooks, pencils and ink, must be covered from ALG II or social benefits.

• Children under the age of 25 (or their parents) who receive benefits under SGB II (citizen's allowance / social benefit).
• Attendance at a general or vocational school, including pre-school
• no receipt of a training allowance

An additional application is not required for children between the ages of seven and 15 ; in these cases, the money will be transferred automatically.

For children under the age of seven and over 15 years of age , an application with a school certificate must be submitted (see link Application for school supplies - education package). The receipts for the purchase of school materials are to be kept and presented on request.
