ESF Plus program of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Regulation (EU) 2021/1057, Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, LHO
The "European Social Fund (ESF) - Program Management" department is responsible for the planning and management of the implementation of the Hamburg program for the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) with a total volume of 137.5 million euros (2021-2027) for the state of Hamburg. The ESF Plus is available to all authorities involved in every single funding decision. The authority and responsibility for the ESF Plus lies exclusively with the social authorities. In cooperation with all Hamburg specialist authorities, the Senate Chancellery and the districts as well as the economic and social partners, the department plans the activities worthy of support based on the specifications of the ESF Plus program, organizes the award procedure, advises potential applicants, monitors the program implementation via agreements agreed with the European Commission Monitoring and controlling procedures, and carries out its own public relations work for the European Social Fund. AI 33 is responsible to the European Commission for monitoring proper implementation and fulfilling all reporting obligations. Together with the department AI 41, which is responsible for the entire legal grant processing in the ESF Plus, AI 33 acts as a service provider for all Hamburg authorities and for the economic and social partners
The selection of project concepts takes place via competition procedures, within which interested institutions can apply for service descriptions. These are published on the website www.esf-hamburg.de.
Once the funding has been approved, it takes about 3 months to process a grant application
The ESF funding covers the areas of the labor market, social affairs and education. The aim of the funding is (re)integration into the labor market or the qualification of participants. Funding for individual companies is not possible.
