Volltext

The aim of infection protection is to prevent communicable diseases in humans, to detect infections at an early stage and to prevent them from spreading.

The health department accepts all reports of pathogens or notifiable diseases that are notifiable in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (IfSG). Sick people are contacted and explored with the aim of identifying and eliminating a possible source of infection. You will be advised on hygiene measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

If necessary, the health department can determine measures to prevent the spread of a communicable disease, such as a ban on visiting a community facility or a ban on staff working in food establishments.

The health department provides information and advice on all questions relating to communicable diseases and multiple resistant pathogens such as MRSA,
  • to prevent further spread
  • to take preventive measures
  • on questions of hospital hygiene
  • about vaccinations

New buildings, conversions and extensions to hospitals, medical facilities and community facilities are assessed from a hygienic point of view and statements are made about them.
