The Free State of Bavaria funds projects that support the voluntary departure, in particular of foreign nationals who are obliged to leave the country, to their country of origin or to a third country that is willing to accept them.
Purpose
The aim of return and reintegration projects is to motivate people who are willing to leave the country to make the decision to return to their home country voluntarily and after the shortest possible stay in Germany. A comprehensive range of support services in all matters relevant to the return should enable a return in dignity. This is why the Free State of Bavaria supports such projects.
Object
Funding can be provided for projects in Germany or a relevant country of return that fulfill the stated purpose and have a positive effect on the area of voluntary return.
Recipients of funding
Associations, charities and other non-profit organizations in the field of voluntary return are eligible to apply and receive funding.
Eligible costs
Personnel expenses and material costs are eligible for funding.
Type and scope
The grant is provided within the framework of project funding on the basis of eligible expenditure.
The amount of eligible personnel costs is based on the amount of wages and salaries actually paid. The personnel costs may neither exceed the wages and salaries and other labor costs incurred by the grant recipient nor the most favorable market rates (collective agreement of the federal states - TV-L) (prohibition of better employment).
If the funding is provided as part of co-financing, the scope of the funding must be agreed between the funding providers and may deviate from the above information.
The project must meet the needs of the Free State of Bavaria in the area of voluntary return and be suitable for demonstrably and effectively intensifying voluntary return from Bavaria.
The project idea must be presented to the Bavarian State Office for Asylum and Returns (LfAR) as early as possible. If eligibility for funding is predicted, the application for funding must be submitted in writing to the LfAR together with a provisional financial plan showing the expected project costs.
As a rule, the recipient of the grant must contribute at least 10% of the eligible expenditure.
