Purpose
The grant is intended to help associations for the disabled that play a significant role in caring for the disabled at state level to fulfill their tasks. It is primarily intended to support smaller, financially weak organizations that are strongly characterized by voluntary commitment in continuing and expanding their care work.
Object
Funding is provided for support work to improve the participation of people with disabilities. This includes the following measures and tasks in particular: General advice; information and educational offers; public relations work; cooperation with services and networks; recruitment, training and coordination of volunteers; organization of leisure, educational and meeting measures; support for self-help groups and self-help activists, e.g. in setting up and leading groups and implementing measures.
Beneficiaries
Recipients of funding are state associations for the disabled that regularly provide comprehensive advice and support to people with disabilities or in a significant area of their lives. The state associations for the disabled may pass on the grants awarded to them to their affiliated sub-groups at regional and local level in accordance with the grant notice.
Type and amount
The funding is granted as project funding by way of fixed-amount financing.
Amount of funding
If there is a proven need, grants can be awarded up to the following maximum amounts, depending on the membership figures of the regional associations:
100 - 1,000 association members: up to EUR 6,100.00
1,001 - 3,000 association members: up to EUR 8,100.00
3,001 - 8,000 association members: up to EUR 10,200.00
8,001 - 20,000 association members: up to EUR 13,200.00

- The organization must be significantly active at the state level, i.e. its members should be spread across all administrative districts.
- The organization must be able to demonstrate two years of activity.
- The organization must have legal capacity and be recognized as a non-profit organization.
- The number of members must be at least 100, but may not exceed 20,000.
- The organization must collect membership fees from its members.
The grant requires a corresponding application from the grant recipient. Applications for funding must be completed in full and submitted using the forms provided by the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS).
The application must be accompanied by a description of the association's activities, including in particular the following information
- Number of total members of the regional association and their regional distribution,
- Number of people with disabilities supported,
- Project description (type and scope of support tasks and measures, personnel deployed, etc.).
The first-time inclusion of a state organization in the funding requires the approval of the State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs.
