Öffentliche touristische Infrastruktureinrichtungen; Beantragung einer Förderung

Purpose

The promotion is intended to increase the attractiveness and improve the quality of the tourism infrastructure in the promoted areas and, in particular, to increase the number of overnight stays, as well as to increase their recreational value and thus increase their economic power.

Object

Funding is provided for public tourism facilities on the basis of the Bavarian State Government's tourism policy concept. Public facilities are basic facilities of the tourism infrastructure that are of direct importance for the performance and economic development of tourism areas and primarily serve regional tourism.

Beneficiaries

Applications may be submitted by municipal bodies and exclusively municipally supported organizations.

Eligible costs

Funding is available for expenditure on investments in tangible and intangible assets that are causally linked to the project, are necessary for the implementation of the project, comply with the principles of economic efficiency and economy and are to be borne by the project sponsor.

Type and amount

The grant is awarded as project funding by way of pro rata financing as a subsidy. The initial funding rate is 35%. A higher funding rate may be granted, taking into account the location of the investment site in a particularly structurally weak area, the financial capacity of the project sponsor and other factors.

Funding is possible if:

• there is a need for tourism and the predominantly touristic use is guaranteed,
• no suitable and equivalent facilities from the commercial sector exist, are being expanded or created,
• the eligible expenditure is at least EUR 100,000 or, in the case of independent projects to create accessibility, at least EUR 10,000.

Application

Applications must be submitted to the responsible district government before the start of the project.
