Registration is required to attend a technical college.

The technical college lasts 1 to 4 school years, partly part-time, in various training fields.

Possible qualifications are: State final examination or master craftsman examination, intermediate school leaving certificate, entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences (supplementary examination), entrance qualification for technical colleges.

The full-time course lasts two years, the part-time course correspondingly longer. The degree is awarded as a state-certified technician.

In addition to these schools, the chambers and guilds offer a large number of preparatory courses for the master craftsman's examination which are not the responsibility of the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs.

Upon passing the state final examination, the corresponding professional title is awarded.

Depending on the type of training, full-time school attendance lasts up to three years.

Upon passing the state final examination, the corresponding professional title is awarded.

• Agricultural and forestry colleges

Admission requirements:

• Completed relevant vocational training and
• as a rule, subsequent relevant professional activity
• Secondary school leaving certificate/intermediate school leaving certificate if applicable
