The vocational schools differ considerably in terms of admission requirements, duration of training, qualifications, etc.
Qualifications: Vocational qualification, intermediate school leaving certificate, preparation for employment
Vocational schools provide completed vocational training and usually last two to three years. Teaching includes general education and vocational subjects as well as practical vocational training.
"The Berufsfachschule is a school which, without requiring vocational training, serves to prepare students for an occupation or vocational training and promotes general education." (Art. 13 sentence 1 BayEUG)
The school announces the dates for enrollment in an appropriate manner. As a rule, admission must be applied for in writing by a parent or legal guardian or the adult pupil. The application must be accompanied by the required certificates, a medical certificate, a complete curriculum vitae, a valid official photo ID or an official certificate of good conduct. If necessary, the required documents can be submitted later.
