The Free State of Bavaria contributes to the personnel costs for fulfilling the tasks of the tactical-technical operating centers for digital radio at the integrated control centers.

Purpose and object

Grants are awarded for the employment of personnel to perform the tasks of the tactical-technical operating centers for digital radio at the integrated control centers. They are intended to enable the grant recipients to perform the tasks necessary for participation in digital BOS radio (= digital radio for authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS)).

Funding recipients

The operators of the integrated control centers in Bavaria are eligible for funding.

Eligible costs

Expenditure on personnel can be funded.

Type and amount

The fixed amount corresponds to 25% of the full personnel costs announced by the Bavarian State Ministry of Finance and Home Affairs for a position at the 3rd qualification level (average grade A9 to A12).

• Proof of costs

The employees designated for the tasks of the tactical-technical operations centers for digital radio at the integrated control center must have the necessary specialist knowledge. To this end, successful participation in the courses provided for by the DigiNet project group in the training framework concept (currently: TETRA system course and user management course) must be proven by means of a certificate of attendance. Participation in the required courses can also take place shortly after the start of employment. The principle of efficiency and economy must be observed when selecting personnel.

Furthermore, funding will only be granted if the operator of the integrated control center declares in the funding application (annex) that the integrated control center will participate in digital BOS radio by wire in accordance with the concept "Technical connection of integrated control centers" of the DigiNet project group and that the conditions for participation and use will be observed.

The application (see form under "Forms") must be submitted in a single copy by the beneficiary directly to the responsible government (granting authority). The government will decide on the application.

The personnel costs are eligible for funding at the earliest eight months before the month in which the so-called "extended trial operation" is to begin in the respective rescue service area according to the migration plan adopted by the Bavarian Digital Radio Steering Committee.
