Coursework and examinations completed at a state or state-recognized university can be recognized upon application.

Periods of study, coursework and examinations completed in degree programmes at foreign state or state-recognized higher education institutions are recognized by a higher education institution when continuing studies, taking examinations, taking up further studies or being admitted to a doctorate, unless there are significant differences in terms of the skills acquired.

The question of whether there is a significant difference is generally decided by the responsible examination board of the university at which the applicant wishes to continue their studies, take an examination, take up (further) studies or do a doctorate.
Special regulations sometimes apply to degree courses that conclude with a state examination. Please contact the respective university for advice.

Study and examination achievements will be recognized by the university upon application if there are no significant differences in the skills acquired.

They will check whether and to what extent the coursework and examinations you have completed at the foreign university can be recognized if you continue your studies.

The same applies to admission to a Master's degree course or admission to a doctorate.
