After the death of the owner of a business, the spouse, life partner, heir, executor, estate administrator, estate insolvency administrator or estate administrator may continue the business without fulfilling the requirements for entry in the Register of Craftsmen.
They must ensure that a business manager is appointed without delay.
It is a prerequisite that the business owner was entered in the register of craftsmen at the time of his death.
The continuation of the business must be applied for at the relevant Chamber of Crafts.
The operations manager must be appointed immediately. In cases of hardship, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts may set a reasonable deadline if proper management of the business is guaranteed.
